Hi folks -
I just identified a bug in RealPlayer v8 that will have a huge impact on
anyone doing live or on-demand webcasting using Real Networks software.
The RealPlayer 8 Basic (win32, build 6.0.9.357) has a memory leak when
running on Windows. To confirm the bug, just start the player on any
stream and then use the taskmgr to watch the memory usage.
I've already reported the bug to Real Networks - but hopefully they will
respond quickly with a fix. Of course, maybe this is just a "feature"
to get us to buy the non-free player :)! Just kidding.
