All:

I will not be at the Toronto meeting (I'll be in the Galapagos
detoxing on work). There will likely not be any multicast-related
talks in the main tracks, but I'm suggesting that there be a half-day
workshop after the conference like we've done recently in Miami and
Minneapolis. The format in Minneapolis worked really well in my
opinion. If you weren't there, we basically had campuses talk about
the state of their own deployment and we all answered questions about
common problems/experiences. One thing I promised to do was to try
and get more vendor representation there to answer questions. I'll
contact vendors in the coming weeks (at the IETF in early August) to
encourage them to show up.

In any case, two things:

1. Anybody volunteer to provide the (minimally) required organization
for the workshop?

2. Just because I won't be there doesn't mean we can't have multicast-
related talks in the main session. In particular, I'd like to see
folks talk about recent multicast-based applications. If you have a
suggestion you can send it to me and to Paul Love
().
