Apologies for any cross-posts. I wanted to leverage the TechEX cloud list one more time because this was a big discussion point at the conference.
If there is one topic I heard over and over at every cloud event I attended this past year, it was FinOps. From Google NEXT to the Cloud Forum to the AWS Public Sector Summit to EDUCAUSE to Technology Exchange, FinOps was on the slides of many and lips of virtually all. Personally, I’m glad to see this rising awareness, even if that takes the form of worry in some people. Thankfully, an opportunity has emerged to help supercharge your FinOps IQ.
A dedicated group of individuals from the R&E community, including some vendor partners and industry experts, has joined together to organize a virtual conference on FinOps. It’s quite an impressive lineup of community peers, vendors, and a representative of the FinOps Foundation and it’s free and open to all. See the full agenda and list of topics here.
One of the basic messages of this event is that FinOps is a team sport. It is not just the concern of the IT team. Please share widely.
