You are receiving this note because you registered for one or both of the 
InCommon Shibboleth Workshops, March 24-25, 2014, at the MCNC offices in 
Durham, NC. Here is some important information to make your experience 
productive and enjoyable. 

We have created a wiki page that should answer most of your questions about 
location, parking, hotels, downloading the required VM Ware, and the like

LOCATION

MCNC Building 3 / Seminar A/B + Conference Room B
3021 E. Cornwallis Road
Research Triangle Park, NC 27709

Parking is available in the front and rear of the building.

BEVERAGES AND LUNCH: We do *not* provide breakfast in the morning, but 
coffee, tea, soft drinks and water will be available and there will be a 
mid-morning snack. Lunch *is* provided as part of your registration and there 
will be an afternoon snack break, as well.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION AND HOTELS

MCNC has negotiated rates with two hotels:

The Hotel Indigo (919-474-3000). The Hotel Indigo provides transportation to 
and from RDU airport. To obtain the MCNC rate of $89/night, please call the 
Hotel Indigo directly and ask for the MCNC/Shibboleth rate of $89. The hotel 
will also coordinate travel to/from MCNC, but you need to arrange for that at 
check-in (since the hotel is also juggling transportation to RDU.

Cambria Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport, 300 Airgate Drive, Morrisville, NC 
27560. Phone 919-361-3311. Call and ask for the MCNC/Shibboleth rate of $96. 
The hotel is two miles from RDU and offers complimentary transportation. 
Please ask the hotel for details. 

There are a number of other hotels and motels in the area, as well.

DOWNLOAD THE APPROPRIATE VIRTUAL MACHINE (VM)

*** Download the appropriate Shibboleth VM. This is IMPORTANT since there is 
no time allocated for this step in the workshop agenda.***

Based on your campus server configuration, decide whether to install the 
Windows or Linux (CentOS) version, and bring a laptop with the appropriate VM 
player installed and tested.

The VMs are located in a Box folder. Be aware that particularly the Windows 
files are very large and will take awhile to

REGISTRATION/SIGN-IN

OBTAIN YOUR NAME BADGE and other important meeting materials outside the 
training room, which opens at 8:00 a.m. We suggest you arrive by 8:30, to 
allow enough time to check in, browse the beverages, and get your laptop up 
and running.

CASUAL ATTIRE is suggested.
