I believe everything has been moved over (and greatly expanded) to the
current opensamlv3 opensaml-util module.  As mentioned, if I make the
change I'm talking about, that particular module wold go away and
become 2+ "tool" projects.

Brent is pretty close to being done to make all of the opensamlv3
stack build, I think.  Once that is done we'll be dropping all the v2
imports from the new projects so those old classes won't show up.  So
I don't think the work involved in what you suggest is really worth it
at this point.
