Thanks for the technical reality check, Brent.  Narrows down the short  
term solutions a lot.

If there are enough important additional features, or enough people  
are interested in the ones proposed, then I'd like to see the  
modernization of RequestedAttribute that Leif suggested, and with  
integration of consent support into the IdP slated for v3, now is  
certainly the time to do the design and standards work.  I think these  
deployers could put some time towards that.
