Peter,
It's been done a number of times with other network authorization mechanisms.
The approach generally depends on the niceties of the one you're using, and
I'm not familiar with Captivator-GW. I can't say off-hand whether it will
work or not, but I suspect it will. Either way, you might find this writeup
useful as a starting point.

I know of successful implementations for a variety of other network devices
and controllers. I would encourage you to contribute yours back if you go
ahead with the project.
Take care,
Nate.

Subject: [Shib-Dev] Captive Portal Using Shibboleth
Hi all
I am trying to set up a captive portal using Shibboleth but am having a hard
time figuring out how to do it.
I plan on using Captivator-GW as the front end and then want to use
Shibboleth as the authentication method.
Does anyone know if this idea will work?
If there is a good walkthrough on how to use shibboleth as a captive portal
that would be great
Thanks
