Hi, I am totally new to SAML. So I have some basic questions.

I have a custom application that's deployed on a weblogic server with
custom authentication against a database (authentication is handled by the
application). I have a need to provide a SSO to another web application
hosted on a different client network.

1. Do I need to configure my WLS to use SAML 2.0 ?
2. Or Can I just write a custom class that generates a SAML assertion and
posts to the client site?

Is there any project template available?
