Ok, problem solved.

After running
sudo port deactivate icu @4.0_0
sudo port activate icu @3.8.1_0

all works fine again :)


Running "xercesc depends on icu" returns "xercesc depends on icu".
However, seems xerxes also works fine with 3.8. Maybe 4.0 was installed
because I ran port selfupdate...

I will add a note to the wiki regarding this.
