Well, if the code is not licensed directly under the Apache 2 license it's unlikely the Shibboleth project would be able to adopt it, or extend it, as its support Java SP implementation. I think this is why Steven is asking.

So, if this is code that GEANT2 thinks it might want to contribute to the Shibboleth project (and I'm not saying that's your intention) this would be something to keep in mind.

Our idea is that it should be similar to an apache2 license, but no final decission has been taken by the GÉANT2 partners. This is still being discussed.
