Starting today we are using a new bug and issue tracking system, JIRA.
This will replace our existing bugzilla systems and as of today bugzilla
will no longer accept bugs for OpenSAML and Shibboleth projects.
A couple of items I would like to specifically note are:
- Users will be required to register for an account to create or comment
on issues. The app is not Shibboleth-enabled like the Wiki.
- Unlike the current system which has large scoped projects with our
individuals code bases as sub-components, the bug system has a project
for each codebase and specific code base components listed (e.g. the
Shibboleth IdP contains components like the attribute authority and
build system).
- We have not yet migrated existing bugs but will be doing so in the
near future.

As we get up to speed we'll also be tracking work items through this,
assigning them to versions, and using this to better track where we are,
work-wise, on a project. We'll also be able to assign feature requests
to particular versions as well so people can see when we are planning to
incorporate features as well.
