Will-- can you provide a bit more detail about your specific situation?
well I was/am working on an open source SIS application for a small college. The school hired me for work on it for about two years, but now I just add to it in my spare time. I'm now looking at fleshing out some of the OSID implementation stubs that are currently in there, in this case using Shibboleth to authenticate the user to the application. A Shib implementation of the AuthN OSID would be application agnostic though, so my specific situation shouldn't effect anything really.
I remember hearing discussion somewhere about Shibbolizing Sakai, but don't remember how that ended. I know Sakai uses some of the OSIDs, but not sure about AuthN. I guess it could be that there are enough high(er) profile projects using OSIDs that it would be beneficial to provide an official Shibboleth implementation (although that's not necessarily what I had in mind when I initially asked the question).
