Ultimately the goal is to remove the Deskzilla link from the main shib page,
probably too close to looking like advertising...

I guess I'm confused on the reasoning for the page. If we want to describe what is *actually necessary* for setting up a development environment for hacking on shibboleth, I think a decent little wiki page would be appropriate. Where it is very standard (and sometimes limitedly supported) to use a particular tool (ie. apache or IIS), then that should certainly be mentioned. Sure people need a CVS client to access the latest code, but why do we really care what CVS client people use (among other things)? Listing every tool that we *like* or somebody uses seems kinda weird and unnecessary. But that's just my thought, for what it's worth.
