If you file a bug, I'll fix this.
As for extending the WAYF itself, I am against anything that implies that an
SP can *rely* on such an extension, because there is no such protocol
defined as part of Shibboleth, and the WAYF itself is just not really
workable except on a per-SP basis.
But for a given WAYF, have at it, I have no opinion about what an SP
implements between it and a discovery service that it establishes because
it's part of the SP's domain, and I'll fix the SP to ensure it doesn't make
that harder to do than it needs to be.
