Well, there's no official relationship, if that's what you're asking. It's an application that has certain aspirations to be something, I guess you'd call it a platform, for the development of instructional services, and is fairly exotic by some standards with its technical choices (highly advanced Java, Server Faces, Spring/Hibernate, OKI, etc.)

Integration means a lot of things. Authentication wouldn't be much different than with CAS or anything else SSO-based, but there's also questions of attribute usage for provisioning and authorization that Shibboleth is more relevant for than other SSO systems.
