Agenda:

1) Startup
- Roll call, agenda bash
- Intellectual Property Rights Awareness: Internet2
Intellectual Property Framework
(http://members.internet2.edu/intellectualproperty.html)

2) status updates, v1.3 --
- any serious issues arising from testing of the beta?
-- tasks to complete during the beta process
-- remaining blockers for release?
-- release target date -- week after catalyst?
-- any documentation blockers?

-- custom extension mechanisms update

3) java target status

3) Catalyst interop update

5) the Shib web site http://shibboleth.internet2.edu/ -- I'm convinced this needs to be rethought. Increasingly, CIOs and IT management are looking at the site to learn -- quickly -- what Shib is, how it could provide value to them, and what makes it unique. Here's a recent example, where a number of people from a US federal agency were directed to learn about shib:

1. .... will e-mail all participants the URL of the Shibboleth web site. Everyone will visit that site and get a general understanding of the components, protocols, and features of that approach to federated authentication and authorization.

A year or so ago we changed the web site from a Working Group focus to a Deployers focus; now I think we have to change it again, with the primary audience for the top level page being IT management, and providing appropriate links for other audiences.

I'd like to take a few minutes to kick off this conversation:

1) are there sites that do a good job addressing a similar problem?

2) thoughts on site organization?

3) general comments about the site..... (things that are good, things that are not so good...)
