Yeah, I'm hoping to add it this weekend and just change the AA to
authenticate based on either one, favoring the stand-alone.

Of course, right now the AA can only authenticate with metadata based on the
Resource attribute using our profile. Anything else would require a
different algorithm, and the metadata API doesn't currently support any
reverse mapping of identity from a key name.

I suppose that's arguably not a bad idea, but I didn't plan to add it, and
of course there's no way to make it fully unambiguous.
