I've uploaded new drafts of the protocol and conformance documents to the
web site, and there's a new draft of the metadata profile on the SSTC site
as well.

Schedule-wise, what I've implemented so far matches that metadata draft, and
I'm hoping to get comments from the TC and anybody else soon so we can push
for a vote sometime next month ahead of the the Shib 1.3 release.

I'd like the Shib specs to also be finalized before that release, so we can
make definitive statements about whether 1.3 will actually be conformant.
Tom had sent me feedback on the last drafts last year and I incorporated
most of that here.

We also have a lot of federation level work to do to nail down attribute
handling and deprecate older practice, so I don't want to spin too much more
on these, particularly if the eventual plan is to just drop most of it in
favor of making SAML 2.0 the basic spec for Shib.
