In addition to the comments about string-handling in the AA (the need for a
custom value handler), the target is similar. It assumes the value contents
are in a single XML text node and treats them as UTF-8 (meaning it would
just silently export the base64 if you mapped the attribute to a header
value, since base64 is legal UTF-8 encoded text).

All subject to "I haven't tried it" of course.
