I wouldn't call it suspicious. It obviously timed out getting data with an
existing TCP connection to your server (how long do you have keep-alives
enabled?), but it's possible it was hung waiting for a response from Tomcat
too, since Apache won't log anything if it doesn't complete the HTTP
exchange.

The curl stuff logs a lot of detail about reuse of SSL sessions or TCP
sessions, so it's pretty good at telling you what it did, but that doesn't
necessarily help debug anything.
