Below is the response I received from John Hopkins, Penn State physics 
instructor, regarding the help desk questions relating to shib auth for 
WebAssign.  Let me know if you are unable to open the spreadsheet.

Hi Renee',

I've had a chance to go through the log and pull out the info that you might
find of some help.  There were 231 messages sent to our help desk regarding
WebAssign.  Of those, only 28 can be attributed to the shib login and even
some of them may be a stretch since some are very, very vague.

I see some students writing about it "timed out" but no one specifically
mentions the use of the back button.

I've included an Excel file with the pertinent logged items (user specific
info has been deleted).

There are a considerable number of people in the log who were trying to use
the url that is printed on the WebAssign card that they purchased at the
bookstore.  Those that could be identified as such are NOT included in the
28 listed above.  Some of the 28 may in fact be people who were at the wrong
page but I can't tell from what they've written.

Hope this helps.

I'll eventually get around to a more detailed look but we're trying to get
up and running for the spring semester.

In other news, I talked with Brian yesterday and I believe that we're ready
for the dynamic updating of student info to begin on Monday of next week
when the courses become active.
