Having rebuilt our code from cvs and Xerces 1.7 with gcc 3.04, I had no
trouble getting mod_shib/mod_eduPerson installed and running on shib2,
which is Red Hat 7.2.
The same libraries on shibprod0, which is Red Hat 7.3, crash in a
particular spot, including when libgcc is rolled back to the same 3.04
level as on shib2.
My conclusion (mainly due to the fact that I just don't have time to
beat this horse for days) is that the binaries we posted really are
7.2/gcc3.04 only. If we find or get a report of 7.2 also failing, I'll
stand corrected.
I'm going to try and do a build with gcc 3.1 on 7.3 and see if that
works. If it does, I'll post a second tarfile for those binaries. If
not, I'll keep at it.
