Hello, All,
Just a reminder of our survey, if you haven’t already completed it please do!
I noticed that at least one of ya’ll have registered for the Grouper training. Perhaps we can have a reunion in Madison in June! If you are interested in going, there are seats remaining.
As a final note, I found a wireless mouse on the back table of the room. if it’s yours, let me know and I can drop it in the mail.
Cheers,
From: <> on behalf of Erin Murtha <>
Hello Shib Graduates,
Thank you so much for attending the InCommon Shibboleth training session at UMBC. It was great to meet you all (and to photograph you as well!).
Survey We are always looking to improve our training offerings and it would be tremendously helpful if you could complete this brief survey. I assure you that we read every bit of your feedback, take it to heart, and look for ways to incorporate it into our enhancements.
There were a few folks who asked for more information about some upcoming events, info is below. If I’ve missed anything, please feel free to ping me.
Training Workshops The InCommon Trusted Access Platform consists of Shibboleth, COmanage, midpoint, and Grouper. We aim to offer training sessions in each of these areas twice a year, at campuses around the country. We have a Grouper School scheduled for June 18 – 19 in lovely Madison, WI. I’d love to see you there! I don’t have the other sessions scheduled yet, but if you’d like to be on a list to receive more information as it becomes available (or if your campus is interested in hosting us sometime), please let me know.
Conferences Join us for BaseCAMP 2019!InCommon BaseCAMP brings together all those interested in the basics of identity and access management — whether you manage identities, make resources available to folks from other organizations, or both. Get your questions answers and find out about the InCommon Federation and how the community-developed identity and access management suite the InCommon Trusted Access Platform can play a part. You can see the program here.
Internet2’s annual Technology Exchange conference is a premier technical event in the global R&E community, convening technology visionaries (technologists, architects, scientists, researchers, engineers, operators, and students) from around the world, for 3.5 days of presentations and discussions focusing on the next generation of federated trust and identity, information security, and advanced network design. The next event will be from December 9 – 12 in New Orleans. You’ll definitely want to be there!
Implementation Support We run an awesome implementation support via the Collaboration Success Program (CSP). You can read more about it here. We will have a program kicking off this fall, which offers assistance with your project plan development, access to SMEs in private slack channels, facilitated work sessions, support from program alumni, etc. If you’d like to learn more, please email me.
Save the Date! May 16th at 2:00 p.m. On May 16th, there will be a webinar to review many of our support and learning opportunities – BaseCAMP, CSP, training, etc. https://www.incommon.org/forum/
Thanks again for your willingness to be photographed. InCommon is launching a new website in June. Visit www.incommon.org to see your smiling faces – especially on the Academy pages.
Cheers, Erin _____________________________________ Erin Murtha
