Abstract: 

Vendor interoperability is the way of the future for research and education networks. However, manufacturer interoperability continues to be a challenge for state and regional R&E network operators and was a key discussion point at the 2024 Internet2 Community Exchange. Several R&E networks have completed testing of Ciena’s universal coherent pluggable optics in their host routing platforms. As the industry moves toward greater interoperability, universal pluggable coherent optics are transforming transport networks and offering new cost benefits to the R&E community.

 

In this webinar, participants will:
