The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum

How do presidents try to influence how we remember them?  After Americans voted him out of office in 1933, Herbert Hoover struggled to defend his legacy.  Throughout his retirement, Hoover wrote books, restored is birthplace, and established a presidential library.  He even tried to run for president again.  What do these things Hoover left behind tell us about his point of view?



** The Presidential Primary Sources Project is presented by Internet2 in collaboration with the National Park Service and Presidential Libraries and Museums.  This free program connects K12 students across the country with park rangers and educators for live interactive distance learning programs via the BlueJeans cloud-based video platform.  These presentations also can be viewed as a livestream and archives of past presentations can be found on our YouTube page. **
