Yes, you can do that. The only limitation is that you cannot use test parameters that were introduced after 4.4. Attempts to do that will result in pScheduler complaining that it can’t find any tools in common among the participants. (Practically-speaking, this is only an issue for throughput tests.)
It can. Sending data to OpenSearch is done with the HTTP archiver, which has been around since the very first release of pScheduler in 2017. The same limitation applies: any features you use have to be available on the version where the archiving is happening (e.g., the verify-ssl switch didn’t exist in the HTTP archiver in 4.4.6).
3. Is it possible to send data from version 4.4 nodes to both esmond and opensearch until cutover happens to version 5.0.8?
Absolutely. Set your tasks up to archive to multiple destinations (one to Esmond, one to OpenSearch) and it’ll work the same as if you were archiving to just one.
You’re probably aware of this, but please note that 4.4.6 is no longer supported and we recommend upgrading.
