All,

perfSONAR 5.0.3 is now available. It primarily contains changes to support EL8 and EL9. You can find install instructions for EL8 and EL9 here: https://docs.perfsonar.net/install_el.html

Note that we are calling EL8 and EL9 “beta” but all the packages are supported and its really just a label to indicate these have not been widely tested outside the dev team at this point. We encourage everyone that has been anxiously waiting to please start testing and let us know what you find.

For existing el7 users, there is a minor bug fix and a few more fixes that may help those trying other non-CentOS variants. See full release notes here: https://www.perfsonar.net/releasenotes-2023-06-16-5-0-3.html
