I have seen a few perfSONAR hosts that problems with the Idle test after update to 5.0?

Measuring MTU... Unsafe or unknown: MTU along path drops from 9000 to 1500

Check on this before trying to troubleshoot anything else.  MTU mismatches can be a source of problems, although I don’t think what you showed below is one of them.

Checking services... Ticker... Scheduler... Runner... Archiver... OK.

Idle test.... 9 seconds... Pending, probably missed... Failed.

Did not get a result: Resource Not found.

Has anyone seen that? A link to documentation explaining that error?

This means the system being tested scheduled a run of the test (starts life in the “pending” state; see notes at https://github.com/perfsonar/pscheduler/wiki/Run-States) and that nothing ever happened with it.  The likely cause is that the pscheduler-runner service on that host is either not running or is experiencing a problem.

I’ve written a ticket to make what comes out easier to understand:  https://github.com/perfsonar/pscheduler/issues/1331
