Greetings All;

The next CI Eng Lunch & Learn talk will occur Friday January 28th, 2022 @ 2pm ET.  The speaker will be Tom Costello from ANL, and he will be talking about "Campus Network Monitoring with perfSONAR on Raspberry Pis & NX-OS Docker Containers”.  Here is a quick abstract for the talk:

With newer technologies such as the Raspberry Pi 4 and NX-OS switches capable of running Docker containers, it’s never been easier to add many low-cost perfSONAR testpoints into a campus network. This talk is a detailed walkthrough of Argonne National Laboratory’s end-to-end campus network monitoring testbed. The testbed setup features a perfsonar-testpoint Docker container running on a Cisco NX-OS switch, perfsonar-toolkit running on a Raspberry Pi 4, multiple perfsonar-toolkit VMs running in an eve-ng network simulator, and a perfsonar-centralmanagement VM. Testbed results & lessons learned will be shared along with potential use-case ideas for this low-cost infrastructure. Anyone interested in end-to-end network measurement is encouraged to attend, regardless of familiarity with perfSONAR, Raspberry Pis or Docker.

N.B. The Zoom number for 2022 is the same as 2021, connecting via computer preferred if you want to see materials, etc.  We ask that everyone *MUTE* on entry:
