The last part of the command says:

so it indicates just one esmond and it is the local one (when opening https://ps08-lat.rl.ac.uk/pscheduler/tasks/7aaaf59e-eac9-4b73-aae7-1ce584a24218/runs/2a4131ef-d95b-4cb5-9c6e-d233ca595433 in a browser "archiver_data" section lists all the details of archives. The only URL there is the local one)

So for some reason the node doesn't know it has to archive somewhere else.

         And that I do a psconfig remote add and we are happy.
        Of course, I may have made a mistake or five.

Did you do "psconfig remote add --configure-archives ..." to make sure the archive entry from psconfig file is taken into account?

        How do I make sure that nodes are using the same archiver?

Through adding a definition of psconfig archive section as above and running "--configure-archives" command option as above
