Ohio Supercomputer Center runs a perfsonar 4.1.6 box under RHEL 7.7 without issues.  I don’t recall there being anything that unique with the install that was specific to RHEL. Our RHEL systems all interface with a local Satellite 6 server.  We have all systems enable EPEL through Satellite as well as rhel-7-server-rpms, rhel-7-server-extras-rpms and rhel-7-server-optional-rpms. We also enable the EUS versions of those repos.

I know, I know. Not supported. I get it.

Still, our infrastructure is HEAVILY standardized on RHEL7. Has anyone got pS running on a RHEL infrastructure, maybe under satellite, that would be willing to share how it worked or didn't? We will be lighting up pS at Pima here in Tucson AZ regardless, but it would be helpful to know if anyone has been down this path before.

Our Linux expertise is pretty intense; a few of us go back to writing drivers in the 90's so rpm management and rolling packages isn't something we are afraid of, just respectful about.

Any experiences to share?

Kindest regards,
