It's actually a fresh install, on a node at home (just got fibre broadband, yay!)

So it's an excuse to try 4.2 before rolling out on some production nodes.  Those are currently stuck on 4.0, because they have CentOS 6 as the base OS, and there are no 4.1+ packages for CentOS 6.

Can you describe the problem you're chasing?
