That’s a bug. The code behind that part of the API uses tracepath to determine the MTU. It may be that the output is different under high-latency conditions and the code doesn’t handle it properly.
I’ve opened a ticket on that and should have it fixed before 4.2 is released: https://github.com/perfsonar/pscheduler/issues/884
