We bought 3 of these servers to put Perfsonar on.  They came preloaded with Ubuntu, so we just ran the perfsonar install from an ISO and had it format the drive and do its thing.  On reload, the hard drive is not listed as a possible bootup option anymore, even though it’s listed in BIOS.  We’ve been trying a lot of things, looks like some sort of EUFI issue.  Never had this issue with the poweredge boxes.  No matter what we try, we can’t get the stupid thing to show up as a bootable option.

Has anyone had this issue or have any idea how to fix it?  I think we may have had to keep one of the partitions on the drive, unfortunately that’s too late.  I have been trying to get the restore from the Dell OS Recovery Tool but the stupid service is down.

The ISO doesn’t do anything to make the kernel trusted, which is why that’s happening.  Disabling UEFI in the BIOS should get you going again.
