I can’t seem to get the username and API key part working (the auth method I’d rather use).

 

When I read the docs I make the api key attached to a username and get to this point: “At this point provide the administrator of the measurement host wishing to register data with the username and generated API key.”(my bold)

 

I used a transform script to add the API key to the psconfig file on the measurement hosts (as to not expose the api key per the docs) but can’t figure out where the username piece comes in.

 

I looked both at http://docs.perfsonar.net/pscheduler_ref_archivers.html#pscheduler-ref-archivers-archivers-esmond and http://docs.perfsonar.net/multi_ma_install.html#configuring-measurement-hosts and can’t see a username piece either.

 

Does any one have any insight on where the username comes in? It doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere on the docs / I seem to be missing something.

 

Hi Joel,

The username is no longer used. Just auth-token.

There is a mistake in the documentation - thanks for pointing it out. We will correct it.
