I'm following the steps at https://docs.perfsonar.net/install_migrate_centos7.html to migrate our current CentOS 6 PS node including our measurement archive data to CentOS 7.

I ran the following ps-migrate-backup.sh script with the --data flag and have received the following error when it tries to backup pScheduler.

$ sudo /usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/ps-migrate-backup.sh   --data  ~/ps-backup_$(date +%Y%m%d).tgz

    Database...pg_dump: unrecognized option '--serializable-deferrable'
Try "pg_dump --help" for more information.
Unable to create pScheduler backup

OS, Kernel and Toolkit Information for Node:

PostgreSQL Version: PostgreSQL 8.4.20

It seems that the --serializable-deferrable option doesn't exist until PostgreSQL version 9.1 and greater. Is there anyway way to get around this problem?

Hi Simon,

You probably have both postgresql 8 and postgresql 9 installed, but current pScheduler backup script expects only postgresql9.

Try adding this patach to /usr/libexec/pscheduler/commands/backup:
Remove line:

pg_dump \

Add in this place these three lines:

PG_DUMP=pg_dump                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
[ -x /usr/pgsql-9.5/bin/pg_dump ] && PG_DUMP=/usr/pgsql-9.5/bin/pg_dump
$PG_DUMP \

And rerun the backup script
