I’ve been trying to get this device to work but having no luck.  We want to deploy Perfsonar nodes that also are OOB boxes, so we are looking at plugging in some of these into the boxes to have a cellular connection.  They even have a fancy integration gude for linux (https://www.verizonwireless.com/dam/support/pdf/verizon-usb730l-integration-guide.pdf) but I’m having no luck with that.  The device picks up with lsusb and I can see it in the logs, but I just can’t get it to pick up an Ethernet interface.  I think my main problem is the modification of the kernel source, was hoping that was not needed, but I think it may be.  I’m not linuxy enough to figure out what that Verizon guide is trying to have me do, so I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any other documents or have successfully got this to work?  I’m ready to swap these out for an AT&T version that has an Ethernet port on there, Verizon doesn’t seem to even have a device like that.

Thanks!
