Hello,
My use-case requires running both owamp client and server programs in one common host to test a virtual network also in the host. Also the host happens to be a virtual machine, and the following 2 issues are encountered as a result.
1. The first is a well know issue of NTP synchronization in virtual machine. However instead of trying to make NTP configuration good for VM usage, is it possible to run owamp without NTP since anyways two test endpoints are in the same machine and hence no need of NTP?
2. The latency tests in direction from client (owping) to owampd (server) do not get started when they both are co-located in one host.
> owping -c 100 -i 0.01 -t 127.0.0.1:8965 -P 9000-9001
owping: FILE=protocol.c, LINE=1515, _OWPReadAcceptSession:Unable to read from socket.
owping: FILE=owping.c, LINE=200, Session Failed!
I haven't been able to debug the exact cause of it.
It will be really helpful if you can please provide your inputs on these two issues.
Kind Regards,
