Since this is a migrate (with data) set up, I don’t know if it expect to use the old or new token/password.

I have tried both, both failed.  I don’t know enough internals of esmond/archiver to manually debug the issue.

I would verify the password/token in the two files matches.  In the problem I had with 4.0.2, the "configure_esmond --force" correctly updated the " meshconfig-agent-tasks.conf " file, but did not update the password token in the file "psc-archiver-esmond.json".  The fix for me was renaming psc-archiver-esmond.json and letting the "configure_esmond --force" re-create it with the correct password/token.  While 4.1 and 4.0.2 may be different with regard to perfsonar and maddash mesh, I wonder if the "configure_esmond --force" is still not properly updating the json file.

Hi,

 

The hostname is fine, looks like maybe it has the wrong api key. Try running the following:

 

/usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/system_environment/configure_esmond --force

 

My guess is that maybe your old esmond auth token got copied over and the database has a new one (or vice versa). The script above should set it to the correct value by updating the file /etc/perfsonar/psconfig/archives.d/esmond_local.json with the correct "_auth-token" field.

I guess that “localhost” probably should be the real host name, is that right? As I have a few hostnames for the server, which one I should use?  How do I configure perfsonar to use that name?
