Interestingly, there *are* configured tests, as the node is heavily
running them. Anything that needs to be configured differently now with
4.1? Or is it "just a bug"?

Thank you for reporting. Is there anything suspicious in /var/log/perfsonar/psconfig-maddash-migrate.log ?
