Dan (and Szymon)
Thank you. I'm clearly not on my game this morning. I did see that note, and I had tried, both with and without the steps in the "Redhat/Centos 6 only" section.
However, I've now gone back and tried again and I realized what I did wrong. Earlier, when I tried it withOUT those intermediate steps, I think I skipped the ". bin/activate" command and moved right on to trying the command that would add the user.
I'll stop here and have another cup of coffee before moving on. Thank you so much for the quick replies.

There's a note in those docs that the /opt stuff only applies to RH/CentOS6. You don't need those steps on EL7 since the version of python included by default is 2.7.Dan DoyleOn Sep 27, 2017, at 12:38 PM, Casey Russell <> wrote:Group,I am re-building our central dashboard host and started with a fresh install of CentOS7 and thought I'd use the perfsonar-centralmanagement bundle. However, when I go to start creating the esmond API keys so that hosts can begin storing data in this MA, the instructions here: http://docs.perfsonar.net/multi_ma_install.html fail.Specifically, there is no /opt/rh/python27 directory. In fact, there's nothing in /opt/ at all. Does the perfsonar-centralmanagement bundle not provide this, and if so, is that intentional, or unintentional.Or perhaps there's a separate set of steps for adding Esmond users (and IP addresses) for CentOS 7 that I just haven't stumbled across the documentation for?
