Dear Support team,

I hope you are doing well.

My name is Ahmed Elhaddad. I am a master student at Friedrich Alexander Universität.

I am using Iperf 2.0.9 to test UDP communication between 2 machines and evaluate the delay and the bandwidth of the channel between both devices. The 2 computers are using Windows operating system.

It is mentioned that the Iperf 2.0.9 measures the jitter for UDP, but I have noticed also that there is an option (-e) for end/end latency for UDP connection which is mentioned in the documentation for Iperf 2 in the following link https://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf2/

I would like to ask, if the meausered end to end latency is the same as a one way delay as shown in the attached screenshot. Also I would like to know if it is measured in microseconds.

Thanks for your support

Best Regards,
Ahmed Elhaddad
