Welcome to perfSONAR. :-) /var/log/pscheduler/pscheduler.log constantly restarts with the below error “OperationalError: FATAL: role "pscheduler" does not exist”. More detail log below. You’re not the first to bump into that. On a few systems, the order of package installation falls out in such a way that the database server isn’t being started before the scriptlet that sets up pScheduler’s database is run. That fails, but RPM ignores it despite our best efforts to make it stop. Counterintuitive as it sounds, the RPM developers have a sane reason for it working that way and they’ve said it won’t be changed. I’ve written a fix that forces the database is in the correct state during the installation; that plus a few other minor fixes will be available in the next day or two in the form of a 4.0.0.1 release. In the mean time, doing these three things as root should get you back in business: · yum -y reinstall pscheduler-server · reboot --Mark |
