Regarding the second issue, I'm still not able to generate the fesh configuration to be published.

Below, the error message:

In order to generate the config the host has to know where to get json file from (either locally or remote).

Please verify if  /etc/perfsonar/meshconfig-agent.conf (on every of your machines participating in a mesh) contains:
configuration_url    https://YOUR_CENTRAL_HOST/YOUR_FILE.json  (-> check if the file is accessble under the URL you provide here!)
configure_archives  1
