perfSONAR User Q&A and Other Discussion

Greetings Omar;

Are you able to test to any other ESnet resources successfully, or are all of them failing? 

Note that the ESnet perfSONAR hosts will only allow tests to those sites that are routable via the R&E routing table, can you provide the address of the host you are trying to test from?

Hi all,

 

I have 3 servers running Ubuntu 14.04 where I want to install PerfSONAR.

I followed the installation instructions step by step from this link: http://docs.perfsonar.net/install_debian.html

 

Then, to test my installation I used the command: bwctl -T iperf3 -f m -t 10 -i 1 -c llnl-pt1.es.net

I go this message: bwctl: Unable to connect to llnl-pt1.es.net

 

bwctl: Unable to connect to llnl-pt1.es.net

However, a ping to llnl-pt1.es.net was successful.

 

 

Am I missing something here? Can someone help me troubleshoot this issue?
