Hi,

You actually don’t want to be running that script by hand nor killing that pid. The paradigm has shifted in 4.0 and it is a daemon now that periodically pulls down changes, no need for cron. You can run “systemctl restart perfsonar-meshconfig-guiagent” if you want to force an immediate update, otherwise it checks the remote JSON every hour and should update within 60 seconds if a change to the /etc/perfsonar/meshconfig-guiagent.conf file is made.

Likewise, as the error says, you need a “checks” section in maddash.yaml. Looks like your missing most of the content of that file which makes me think the guiagent is not completing successfully. I’d recommend looking in /etc/perfsonar/meshconfig-guiagent.log for errors thrown by the daemon.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

This is Centos 7.

I’m trying to generate my maddash using the “perfsonar_meshconfig_guiagent”. Though this is a re-generation as I had this working but I have made some changes.

So moved the previous working maddash.yaml file and created a fresh one so that I can regenerate it.

When running the “perfsonar_meshconfig_guiagent” I get this error.

I have tried killing the PID

And then re-running the command which completes without error.

Then restart the maddash-server.

But fails to start.

In the /var/log/maddash/maddash-server.out file I also get this error:

It’s saying the property “checks” is not defined – what is meant by this?

This is the maddash.yaml file:

And this is the meshconfig_guiagent.conf file:
