Hi,

You probably don't have any stat_aggregations data which is normal, the docs might need to be updated to indicate that likelihood. I don't think the perfSONAR measurements actually use the “stat-aggregations" column-family so there is no data in there.

Thanks,
Andy

I'm following the procedure on

"Managing Measurement Archive Data"
"Backing up and Restoring Data"
"Creating the Snapshot"

I issued the command:
nodetool snapshot esmond -t esmond_snapshot

but the stat_aggregations directory is not being populated:

[root@ps benninge]# ls -al
/var/lib/cassandra/data/esmond/stat_aggregations/snapshots/esmond_snapshot
ls: cannot access
/var/lib/cassandra/data/esmond/stat_aggregations/snapshots/esmond_snapshot:
No such file or directory

[root@ps benninge]# ls -al
/var/lib/cassandra/data/esmond/stat_aggregations/snapshots/
ls: cannot access
/var/lib/cassandra/data/esmond/stat_aggregations/snapshots/: No such file or
directory

[root@ps benninge]# ls -al /var/lib/cassandra/data/esmond/stat_aggregations/
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 cassandra cassandra 4096 Oct 15 2014 .
drwxr-xr-x 6 cassandra cassandra 4096 Oct 15 2014 ..

The other directories (base_rates, rate_aggregations, raw_data) are
populated and have files timestamped appropriately for the snapshot so that
much seems to be working.

What should I check for stat_aggregations?

Kathy
