Hi Antoine,

I’m not sure if the python2.7 environment is different on RHEL than CentOS. Here are the steps we took to fix the error:

rm /var/lib/pgsql/data/*

/usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/system_environment/configure_esmond

/usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/system_environment/configure_regular_testing

/etc/init.d/httpd restart

/etc/init.d/perfsonar-regulartesting restart

Then the steps in the link:

cd /usr/lib/esmond

source /opt/rh/python27/enable

/opt/rh/python27/root/usr/bin/virtualenv --prompt="(esmond)" .

. bin/activate

python esmond/manage.py add_ps_metadata_post_user perfsonar

The last step told us that user perfsonar already existed (which we knew from looking at regulartesting.conf) and returned its API key. This key was different than the key in the regulartesting.conf file, so we replaced the given key with the original key in the conf file. This ended up fixing our error. We still get this error, but perfSONAR appears to be working okay, so I have ignored it for now:

2016/08/03 12:55:14 (23288) WARN> regulartesting.pl:103 main::__ANON__ - Warned: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perfsonar/bin/../lib/perfSONAR_PS/RegularTesting/MeasurementArchives/EsmondTraceroute.pm line 37

As for the test name recommendation I meant under the source name in the test results section, sorry about that. Here's a screenshot:

Thanks,

Daniel

Great you've been able to solve this.  Can you share with us how you got around this error?  Is the python2.7 environment different under RHEL from CentOS?  Maybe we can update our documentation to take this into account.

For the recommendation about the test name and the source message, I'm not sure what you mean exactly.  Is it about the error messages, the toolkit web interface or the regulartesting.conf file format?

Thanks,

Antoine.

We ended up getting the steps on the link you provided to work, and noticed that the key we had in regulartesting.conf did not match the key provided from the given steps. Thank you for the help! Also, one of my colleagues recommended placing the test name either above or under the source message. Just a suggestion for a future update, perhaps.

The web interface works and reports all tools are running, but after configuring some tests, I noticed that the results were never showing up. After looking in the regulartesting.log file, I noticed that I was receiving the following errors over and over again:
