It does thank you.  Not sure if that would be worth updating the documentation with that idea or not.  I also ended up using the tests from a static example rather than the ones demonstrated in the dynamic section.

Hi Robert,

You can create the file anywhere. Once you have created it, you convert ti to JSON and publish it on a web server. From there you can include a URL in agent_configuration.conf. The basic process is on the Publishing a Central Configuration File and Reading a Central Configuration File pages, respectively.

Hope that helps,
Andy

To follow up on this:

I've got the dynamic .json being published - so now I need to define the tests.  But the doccumentation doesn't specify where to create the test.  A new file anywhere?  And from there do how do I include it into the agent_configuration.conf?

Thank you in advance,

Thank you!  A small but key detail!

Robert,

It looks like you're trying to use the build_json script on that config file - it should be the "lookup_hosts" script instead. That's listed in the http://docs.perfsonar.net/3.5rc2/multi_mesh_autoconfig.html but pretty easy to miss as a detail.

Hello!

I'm trying to test the Dynamic Mesh Setup in Mad Dash 3.5 RC2 and I'm having a little trouble.  It's my intention to leverage the public lookup service and key off the registered servers there for my local internet group.  What should I be referencing to create a valid mesh?  Thank you in advance,

Robert

When I try to make the .json I get the following on the CLI:
