Andy,

Thanks for this! Do you know if there is any way to manipulate the regular test that is ran? If not, will there be in the future? I know you can change certain values like test length but can you configure the test to omit the first 5 seconds of the test for TCP ramp up. For the on demand test this is the –O flag. I didn’t see anything in regular_testing.conf but maybe I just overlooked it.

Hi,

Yes, you can see retransmits if you hover over points on the the throughput lines of the graph. They will be in a pop-up that appears if there were any. You also must be using iperf3 (not iperf) for the retransmits to be displayed.

Hello All,

I have a related question to this. I use the on demand tests a lot to find buffer overflow issues. Do the regular tests show the retransmits anywhere? I have not seen so at least. I do see errors from time to time on the tests but they usually just say improper handshake.

Hi Xiaoban,

It is impossible for now to have the results from terminal stored in MA or even logs.
Logs information you will have for one off tests if you use OPPD and Perfsonar UI with increased debug levels.

Best regards,
Ivan
